Next week, Davies Drive will open as a through road connecting East Market Street and Concord Road in Springettsbury Township, writes York County historian Stephen H. Smith in his popular blog, YorksPast:
“It will be a short-cut to The First Post and to Saubel’s Markets for many in the area. Others claim the road-opening will cut noticeable time off their daily commutes,” writes Smith.
A ribbon cutting officially opening this road section is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 4:30 p.m.
